Leaps & Bounds are only available to Petbarn. This makes it essentially a home (or phantom) brand. It is manufactured in Dubbo by Australian Pet Brands.

Leaps and bounds dog food
meat meal is the main ingredient. It’s a mixture of beef, lamb, and poultry. It is good to see meat as the main ingredient. Meat in “meal” form is more appealing than regular meat, which has a lot of water. It is worth noting that the Australian standard for “meat” in pet food includes off-cuts or by-products. The ingredient will be from a rendering facility where animals are cooked in a pot. It’s possible to mix different meat sources.
The second ingredient is wholegrain rice. This is a combination of wheatand (white) Rice. These ingredients are not necessary for pet food. However, they are very common because they’re so cheap.
We can see that the food has a 10% fat content if we examine the guaranteed analysis. That’s low! This is a low protein content. Soya and wheat are common causes of allergy in dogs, especially when they are fed for a long time.
Salt is the 6th ingredient. It’s not good to see and will only be used as a flavoring agent to enhance bland foods. The vitamins as well as the minerals are standard ingredients in the food. Linseed, flaxseed, and/or Canola Seed are both included for joint health. The former is better than the latter.
The food is average. The food is average. However, it’s still better than many supermarket brands. You might consider Taste of the Wild and Savour Life as alternatives to Leaps& Bounds.
